We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GCSE Maths Lecturer to join our team in Stevenage on a full-time, permanent basis. As a GCSE Maths Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons to students with a range of abilities, creating a supportive learning environment that promotes confidence, achievement, and progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths lessons that motivate and engage learners.
• Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, progress, and achievement data.
• Support learners with diverse educational needs and backgrounds.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies.

About You

Essential

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A degree or relevant qualification in Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching GCSE Maths.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for education and student success.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners.

Desirable

• Experience within a Further Education setting.
• Knowledge of current GCSE Maths specifications and assessment requirements.
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
